Installation instruction for windows
Download installer from http://sourceforge.net/projects/screensifter/ and run the installer by double click.

Installation instruction for mac
1. Download ScreenSifter_Source_X.Y.Z.zip http://sourceforge.net/projects/screensifter/
2. open a terminal
3. change to working directory where you have downloaded the ScreenSifter_Source_X.Y.Z.zip using cd “directory_path”
4. extract ScreenSifter_Source_X.Y.Z.zip using Archive Utility
5. cd ScreenSifter_Source_X.Y.Z
6. python ScreenSifter.py

Recommendation: Your python may not have all the necessary module to run ScreenSifter. You may install the required modules one by one if your python complains about certain module. To avoid this, we suggest you to download python from Enthought repository (https://www.enthought.com/repo/epd/installers/) which has all the required modules. Note: please install 32 bit version of python e.g epd-7.3-2-macosx-i386.dmg because 64 bit version of mac installer does not have wxpython which will be required by ScreenSifter. After installing you can start ScreenSifter something like this on terminal: /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/7.3/bin/python ScreenSifter.py You can override default Apple python by putting enthought python (/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/7.3/bin/python) on your path. Then you can start the ScreenSifter simply on the terminal by: python ScreenSifter.py

After installing you can start ScreenSifter something like this on terminal: ./epd-7.3-2-rh5-x86_64/bin/python ScreenSifter.py You can put this enthought python on your path. Then you can start the ScreenSifter simply on the terminal by: python ScreenSifter.py

For enthusiasts who wants to run from Latest Source code
1. Download hg mercurial from http://mercurial.selenic.com/ if you don’t have one. On linux you can install using the command "sudo apt-get install mercurial"
2. Open the terminal and run following commands
2. hg clone http://hg.code.sf.net/p/screensifter/code-0 screensifter-code-0
3. cd screensifter-code-0
4. python ScreenSifter.py
